Belcat - FUZ-510 R-Fuzz
Type(s): fuzz
Overview
What We Say:
The Belcat pedals are surprisingly well constructed for the price that they sell for. People often turn their noses up at products made in China and Indonesia without actually giving them a chance. The Belcat range is not the sort of pedal you will be using when you turn pro, but they are ideal for beginners who are just starting out with effects pedals.
What They Say:
(There is not a lot of content on the Belcat website, just a list of technical specifications).

I just bought one new off ebay for $35 which is really cheap. I bought it to replace my expensive Boss FZ-5 Fuzz. Why would I sell my boss for a chinese cheap fuzz? The boss is COSM, ie digital. for this reason it had to be played on its own, if I turned on any pedals before or after it, the sound would turn to garbage. The cheap fuzz on the other hand is analog. So I can put it anywhere in the signal chain and it sounds like its supposed to. I put it in front of an Ibanez Smash Box and it sounds awesome! Lots more bottom end and an awesome heavy rock, almost metal sound. (I then also sold my digitech distortion factory lol). By itself it does exactly what its supposed to, give a nice chunk of fuzz, not completely chunked up to nothing, but nice and playable.
