Bearfoot FX Honey Beest Released

This looks cool. As regular readers will know we are a fan of what Donner is doing at Bearfoot FX and I reviewed the Honey Bee last year – http://www.dirtbox.net/features/reviews-archive/bearfoot-fx-honey-bee-od/ – and enjoyed its pleasant, low gain sound. Well now Donner has a reworked version called the Honey Beest.

The key addition over the original circuit is an upper-mid and treble boost placed pre-gain in the circuit which should simultaneously allow for a little extra dirt and increased presence and crunch. Sigh, I never should have gotten rid of my Honey Bee, perhaps this will be a suitable replacement!
