Spaceman Pedals Mercury III
Thanks to Bluesburst for this submission.
Spaceman Pedals have been described very well in their characteristics, Zak from Spaceman is an electronics artist. He packages and presents his pedals beautifully and they sound great too.
As far as the MIII goes, it interacts quite differently to my 2 main amps. With my Marshall AVT50 (tube preamp / solid state power amp), it acts very much like a medium gain crunch pedal where as with my all-tube Fender Hot Rod Deluxe it acts more as a rich boost allowing more of the harmonics to come through and color the tone in a positive way. By tweaking the 6 tone settings and the harmonics control it can be set for a pure clean boost dependant on the guitar / amp combo. This is one of those pedals you can play with for hours with various gear combos experimenting with it’s capabilities.
Regardless of the amp, it provides a wonderful foundation for any dirt box

stacking combo I can throw at it. Truly a fascinating pedal. This is my first foray into a true boost pedal and so far, so good. I’m pretty much a balls out rhythm player with very little subtlety or finesse so to be honest, I will never get the most out of this pedal but I’ve found that what it does for my favourite combos is to just make them sound so much better.
My Marshall combo is soon to give way to the new Marshall Slash AFD100 head so I’m looking forward to what the MIII does with that.
The MIII works very nicely with both the Rumblefuzz and Rocketship fuzz boxes and produces a nice fuzz-drive with the Rumblefuzz and turns the Spacerocket into a sputtery venom spitting beast.
Great pedals and worth the dollars.

A great looking pedal and you have number 1 of only 10 made! Truly a collectors item and something that sounds fantastic. I’m really GASing for one myself. Thankyou for the Vintage Vault submission!
