What We Say: The Trifecta is a popular fuzz and the choice for many players as it offers both controlled sounds, and thick, tone-mangling distortion too.

What They Say: ”…This one is for classic fuzz freaks and newcomers alike. The Barber Trifecta employs a three way toggle switch to seamlessly navigate three classic vintage fuzz circuits producing a plethora of tones from trippy to squishy, through heavy and beyond. The newly minted Barber exclusive “Sludge” control allows players to easily dial in the Trifecta to work perfectly with all types of pickups (humbuckers, single coils even active!). The Sludge control is a pre-fuzz bass control circuit to allow you to adjust exactly how much bass gets pushed through the fuzz circuit. The Trifecta’s variable tone control is also a push/pull type switch which lets you go from classic scooped to “boutique” strong fundamental flat style EQ.

The Trifecta’s classic three fuzz circuits are based off of the triangle style pi sound, the Jumbo Bender style and the Suppa Bender style with our boutique mods/magic and superior build quality. These three classic circuits all were very close except for clipping sections (fuzzy stuff) being omitted or added, so we figured, why not make it a Trippy Fuzz party and give the players all three for the price of one!…”

What We Say: The Tone Pump is primarily an EQ tool but it also offers some clipping and boosting facilities.

What They Say: ”…Barber Electronics is proud to introduce a powerful update to our now legendary Tone Pump!. The Tone Pump has a new tone control design that allows for an even clearer and more dynamic sound. The “EQ” update adds controls for presence and midrange… With the well thought out new “EQ”, you can sculpt a vast “tonescape”, from flat mids to extra articulated silky highs and a new deeper clearer bass and all points between. The “pump” control for the red channel is now push/pull to go between asymmetric and symmetrical clipping. All this adds up to an exciting new Tone Pump that veteran and new users alike will love!

Precision matched components-using proprietary specifications to ensure symmetrical clipping and reduced intermodulation distortion. This allows complex chords to be heard with total definition and clarity at any level of overdrive.

True bypass switching with led indicator- this is achieved by using an high grade switch, in addendum Solid 20 gauge copper hookup wire is used between the jacks and switching to create a transparent bypass.

Two levels of overdrive- for distorted rhythm and a second mode for sustaining and thickening lead work. This effectively gives you three channels from your clean amp.

Full size pots- for durability and for easy serviceability if needed.

Hand made-we make the Tone Pump EQ one at a time and each one is signed and dated by the craftsman.

Tonal balanced-The most important thing about the Tone Pump EQ is, your tonal balance of your guitar and amp are maintained. There is no funny midrange hump or loss of bottom end to SPOIL the sound of your guitar and amp that you have so carefully chosen.

New EQ controls- This great new set of features allows the user to use the new “deep clear” external bass control to properly match the bass response of the Tone Pump EQ to their guitar and amp, this eliminates any low end loss. With the addition of the new presence and midrange controls virtually any tonal response can be achieved, including mids that are reduced, flat or forward, you make the call!…a tweakers dream.

Volume knob response circuitry-numerous shades and textures at your fingertips just by adjusting your volume knob.

Cast aluminum enclosure-our incredibly durable enclosure will last decades if not centuries!

Double sided pc board with plate through holes-This is the way the military does it when they want electronics to work FOREVER! all pedals should be made this way , few are.

Unique pivot style 9 volt battery clip- Our Battery clip uses an eccentric pivot to swivel the battery clip in and out of the unit for durable long life operation.

High quality components- Players have requested the use of carbon resistors, metalized polyester caps. These components were thought to be only available on the highest priced pedals. Players asked, and we deliver…no problem, no exaggerated “boutique builder” pricing.

Barber adjustable phono style recovery stage- Most of our op-amp based overdrive pedals use a cool old style phonograph circuit to recover the frequencies lost in the overdrive stage, this worked great for vinyl and now works great for guitar overdrive! The Tone Pump EQ has a beautiful transparent presentation which allows it to take on the characteristics of your guitar and amp without changing their tonal balance. The Tone Pump’s gain structure allows for plenty of flexibility by using two foot switches and separate volume and sustain (pump) controls for each channel. The new push/pull symmetry adds yet another dimension to the Tone Pump’s legacy. Classic sounds for the tone connoisseur!…”

What We Say: The Super Sport is based on an early custom-shop model of the Direct Drive. The Direct Drive SS ceased production a while back and this is the answer to those who didn’t have a chance to buy one before production stopped. This should be a very tweak-able and versatile overdrive with FIVE internal trim pots for total tonal adjustment.

What They Say: ”…We had many requests over the years to “Bring back the Direct Drive SS”, players really loved the thick bold and sweet sound of the original Custom shop version of our Direct Drive. Ronni and David have painstakingly revived and revved up the B-Custom version of the Direct Drive with 5 highly adjustable internal trim pots so that players can dial in exacting amounts of; note shape, harmonics, bass, midrange, and presence. The internal trim adjustments are provided by the legendary CTS control company, known for their durability and smooth operation. Ronni and Bronson Wagner conceived and executed the new muscle car inspired custom paint theme, using multiple rich layers of ultra durable powder coating, with baked on enamel silk screened graphics, so there is no worries of the so called “boutique” back yard finish that looks good for a week and then flakes off after some light gigging.

The super Sport lives up to its sonic heritage and adds adjustable midrange so you can dial the sound from “flat eq” to “thick mids”, the new note shape control, allows you to adjust how much bass goes through the overdrive circuit, now you can get a tight focused sound, or a big round vintage “cough” when you lay into the next power chord or wildly shaking 12th fret g string stab! The Super Sport is everything players have been asking Barber for in a medium high gain, british flavored B-Custom overdrive pedal…Drive yours home today!

New internal controls- The Super Sport Direct Drive can dial in Note Shape, Harmonics, Bass, Midrange and presence.

True bypass switching with led indicator- this is achieved by using an high grade switch, in addendum Solid 20 gauge copper hookup wire is used between the jacks and switching to create a transparent bypass.

Full size pots- for durability and for easy serviceability if needed.

Hand made in the B-Custom shop-Ronni crafts each Super Sport in the Custom shop located in Baltimore.

Double sided pc board with plate through holes-This is the way the military does it when they want electronics to work FOREVER! all pedals should be made this way , few are…

Ready for 18 volt operation-The Super Sport operates from 9 volts to 18 volts, this allows use of higher voltage converters and supplies, for players who want to try higher voltage tweaks.

Barber adjustable phono style recovery stage- Most of our op-amp based overdrive pedals use a cool old style phonograph circuit to recover the frequencies lost in the overdrive stage, this worked great for vinyl and now works great for guitar overdrive!…”

Internal controls for Note shape, Bass, Midrange and presence. These controls allow the Small Fry to produce sounds ranging from sweet subtle sustain to smooth singing California amp style tones!

Unique control- The note shape allows you to adjust your sound from tight and focused to a big round vintage tone, The dynamics control has earned a great reputation over the years for setting the transfer to smooth singing overdrive or raspy growling deep dynamics, continuously!

The Small Fry delivers some of the most sought after tones ever! Users can dial in explosive pick attack with total note definition which resolves chords as harmonically rich as 13ths and maj7’s with absolute clarity! The Small Fry can also create a fat semi-clean boost which will warm up even the coldest of amplifiers while providing a walloping punch in level…”

What We Say: SR stands for Special Recipe. The LTD SR is based on the early prototypes of the regular LTD overdrive pedal which is said to have an extremely flat, almost transparent voicing, until you touch the tone knob.

What They Say: ”…The LTD SR came about when “and yet another early beta” LTD came to our attention from a good friend and excellent player/listener. Our beta friend asked for a clone of his early beta LTD, to have as a backup for travelling, after listening to and cloning his beta LTD we realized what a nice voice this version LTD posessed…so the custom shop has made this cool third LTD version available for players seeking a cool, flatter voiced LTD…very faithful to your guitar and amp.

The LTD SR has a nearly flat response when the tone control is dead center, even flatter than our Silver LTD, yet the tone control on the SR is very strong for players who need more powerful eq options from their mild sweet toned overdrive…”

What We Say: The Launch Pad is designed to be the ultimate uncoloured clean boost, or transparent boost pedal. It offers up to 20 decibels of clean boost and with an internal working voltage of 24V (stepped-up internally from a 9V power supply) this provides massive headroom and clarity.

What They Say: ”…Two outputs that represent both + and – phase. This feature allows phase correcting Blackface and Silverface Fender amps, also you will be able to combine the channels for ultra flexibility and combined harmonics of parallel preamps.

Main output can be used as a standard unbalanced out or balanced out for interfacing to software guitar programs and recording equipment (balanced or unbalanced DI).

The Launch Pad has tremendous clean headroom that makes it an excellent signal buffer from unity gain to 20db boost.

Two outputs allow using the Launch Pad as an A/B with separate output levels. This also will allow you to drive separate or parallel effects chains with OD pre-driving from the Launch pad.

The Launch Pad can be used as a split to your tuner, this keeps the less than optimum audio performance tuner circuits out of your audio chain for much improved sonics.

The internal operating voltage of the Launch pad is 24 volts; this gives far greater headroom than traditional 9-18 volt clean boost pedals. This high voltage internal operation is achieved while still using a standard 9 volt adaptor or battery to power the Launch pad…”

What We Say: The Half Gainer is essentially two of Barber’s legendary LTD overdrives in one box, with a shared ‘Mid Character’ circuit and a shared tone control. Each channel of the pedal has independent Drive and Volume controls truly making this two LTDs in one box. A great way to save some serious coin if you wanted two different LTDs for two different reasons.

What They Say: ”…The Barber Half Gainer is the long awaited dual version of our very popular LTD ultra clear low gain overdrive. The Half Gainer adds new features for enhanced live performance. There is a new “mid character” control that simultaneously adjusts the midrange content and shifts the EQ curve to compliment the amount of midrange added or cut! We worked with pedal artist Bronson Wagner to achieve a very upscale graphic and paint presentation. Bronson tastefully applied Art Deco styling on a rich silver vein powder coat, for beauty with significant durability. The sounds that emanate from our new overdrive instrument range from subtle purrs, to an authoritative sweet grind. The Midrange Character control allows you to set the tone control to a nearly flat EQ balance for BIG chords that match your clean tone magnificently, or dial in a sophisticated fatness to thicken your single note lines to perfection.

The Half Gainer has control features that include; two channels with fully independent adjustments of output volume and gain for each channel. This is a tremendous step up from simply boosting schemes often implemented by other pedal companies. There are a shared Tone and Midrange Character adjustments on top the Half Gainer to keep things simple for quick live settings. The Half Gainer also has internal trim pots made by CTS to facilitate bass and presence balancing. The Half Gainer achieves these two independent channels in an enclosure that is only 3.7? wide to save greatly on pedalboard space…”

What We Say: The LG stands for Low Gain. This is a custom-shop version of the Direct Drive but with a new gain circuit that is much lower and smoother than the original. It was designed to give the vintage, smooth, rich tones of yesteryears whilst maintaining the clarity and punch of the original Direct Drive.

What They Say: ”…The Direct Drive LG is an “ultimately vintage sounding” version of the Direct Drive, this smooth/sweet version of the Direct Drive was born from a custom order in our custom shop. In Ronni’s customary way he took the challenge to devise a gain scheme that would keep the cool British character of the Direct Drive, while dialing the sound in to just that classic early era of days gone by, where British amps had tube rectification and a sweeter presentation that delivered dynamics and tone; over gain, volume and crunch. Ronni took the custom shop treatment a step further with some nice grey knobs and Green LED to offset the new cool character of this tone connoisseur’s version of the classic Direct Drive.

All the snarl, but clearer and even sweeter with a low gain structure for the “dialed in dynamics player…”
