So what’s been happening?

In late April I closed Dirtbox for a site reshuffle that I hoped would only take a few days. I bought my own webspace and shifted the site across to that but this meant learning how FTP programmes and such work, which took more time than I would have liked. Also I replaced the theme with a premium one designed for websites that want to build a community.

So this is Dirtbox phase two. I hope we can turn Dirtbox into a full and friendly community!

By signing up to Dirtbox you should then be able to access and post in the forums, post comments on just about every post and also rate each pedal via a star rating system in the reviews area. This means that not only is the pedal reviewed by us but also essentially by every Dirtbox member than fancies rating the pedal out of ten.

The layout is pretty similar to Dirtbox stage 1 but now everything is done via a ‘post’ method rather than a ‘page.’ This should not mean much change on your behalf except that now the search engine should work a bit more effectively. Everything works in much the same way that it always did but is designed to be slightly easier, and like I said to help us develop a community.

I have begun talking with several other websites and we are working on some kind of competitions and collaborative efforts for you all so expect some opportunities to win prizes to arise over summer!

We give our honest opinions of the pedals on show in our review sections and in the information area we try to give you an opinion based on what we know about the pedal, the company who designed it, the components inside of it, etc…etc…

We don’t just cover the ’boutique’ pedals either!
